A Statement from
بيان من "الأسايش" في حلب حول فقدان اثنين من عناصرها حياتهما

The Internal Security Forces "Asayish" in the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsood and Al-Ashrafiyah issued a statement today, Saturday, October 11, 2025, expressing the loss of two of their fighters during clashes that occurred following the siege and attack carried out by the Syrian transitional government forces on the neighborhoods on Monday, October 6, 2025.

The statement read:

"Our comrade Nouri Mustafa Jijkli was killed on October 6th while fulfilling his duty to protect the residents of Sheikh Maqsood and Al-Ashrafiyah, during armed conflict. Our comrade Nouri Hummakan was severely injured during the same conflict and martyrdom on the tenth of the same month. Our two comrades, as members of Aleppo's Internal Security Forces, sacrificed their lives during their brave resistance against the attack carried out by armed groups. Their sacrifices reflect their commitment to protect our people."

The developments indicate that our forces in Aleppo, despite the ongoing threat environment, continue to work actively to ensure the safety and stability of the region and the security of our people.

Since the beginning of the conflicts in the region and the fall of the Ba'ath regime, our people have embarked on a new path towards peace. Although our forces are committed to the agreements signed with the Damascus administration, armed groups present in Damascus continue to violate these agreements.

Recently, armed groups have begun building positions and checkpoints around the Kurdish neighborhoods in Aleppo with the aim of besieging our people. When our people revolted against this attack, the groups attacked civilians, and our forces responded to protect them. This led to the martyrdom of two of our heroic comrades in the field of resistance.

Our comrade Nouri Mustafa Jijkli was born in Aleppo to a patriotic family and joined the Internal Security Forces at the beginning of the revolution in 2014. He served for eleven years, performing his duty to protect his people and defend the values of freedom and dignity. He participated in many battles and national missions, symbolizing resilience in the face of challenges.

Our comrade Nouri Hummakan was from the city of Afrin. He joined the ranks of the Internal Security Forces at a young age, carrying the spirit of the revolution. He participated in supporting the liberation movement since 2012 and contributed to defending our people throughout years of ongoing struggle.

As the Internal Security Forces, we honor their memory and pledge to continue the path of the martyrs and follow the road of sacrifice to achieve the demands of our people and elevate the values of freedom and dignity for all our sons and daughters.
